This is the long-awaited moment for all Shakhtar fans. Thanks to goals from Oleksandr Gladkyy and Oleksiy Gai Shakhtar have won the Ukrainian Cup for the sixth time in their history.

The team were greeted by the fans upon their landing at the Donetsk international airport. In the centre of the city a stage had been installed on this occasion. While the Miners were on the way home, orange-black football aficionados could see the highlights of the match on a huge screen.

When the players appeared on the stage they thanked everybody for the support that was so important for the team. As Darijo Srna put it, the trophy would have hardly been won without support from devoted fans.
